The Anglomoil F1 powerboat competing in the 2014 Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix has completed the Wagga Wagga round by scoring another 525 points.
The bright yellow and blue Anglomoil craft which can accelerate like an exotic super car now has 1619 points in the series and is in 2nd place, and is out to catch the reigning national champion less than 800 points in front. The Lake Albert event featured 50 boats from five states.
The next round is at Mulwara in Victoria on April 12-13.
Anglomoil has been the lubricant-of-choice for more than 30 years in motor sport. Back then racing Minis and truck racing teams chose it. There are many stories of how our high performance blends kept engines and drivetrains from overheating or disintegrating.
Today, in addition to powerboat racing, Anglomoil is being used by the Anglomoil SM Drift team competing in the Just Car Australian Drifting Grand Prix. They recently finished in the top 4 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Plans are underway for Anglomoil to hit the tarmac and the dirt in 2014 in two very different sports categories. Watch this space for our unveiling of a heavily modified V8 powered sports sedan and a couple of SXS (side by side) buggies which will compete in the Australian Rally Championship.
