When the going gets tough, the tough go to the Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge. This is extreme off roading at its worst. 4X4 vehicles and their crews are pushed to the absolute limit over three days as they make their way over and through 12 stages of boulders, rocks, mud, deep holes, ruts and near vertical cliffs.
One team which has consistently set the pace each year at the Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge is the duo of driver Shane Bakes and navigator Timothy Scutt in their Anglomoil Jeep TJ Wrangler. This high powered off roader features massive tyres, a full roll cage, coil over suspension, rear steering, and front and rear differential disconnects married to a TH400 automatic gearbox.
Bakes and Scutt rely on Anglomoil lubricants to keep their Jeep performing in the harsh conditions of high operating temperatures, high revving, dust, mud, dirt and water. They began competing in 2009 and have won the King Of The Park award.
“The truck is Tuff enough and ready to handle anything”, says Shane.
The 2014 Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge is on March 28-30 near Singleton NSW.
