Brothers Cameron and Brad Tilley have completed a successful Bathurst weekend in their Anglomoil Pacer and Falcon GTHO.
Cameron passed a bigger engined Torana SL/R and GTHO to score 12th in the field of 22 starters – a remarkable effort given that this circuit suits horsepower not a smaller 6-cylinder.
Brad picked up his best result of the weekend with 8th place. A broken power steering pump had earlier deprived him of entering the Top Ten but on Sunday the sweet sounding Windsor picked up several places. After two years away from Touring Car Masters it was great to see the Green Machine back on the track.
Cameron only just made it to the Mountain. The replacement cylinder head he was waiting for only arrived from the US on Thursday. He came to Bathurst with an untested engine and having missed the practice sessions. So, 2nd, 14th and 12th was a great outcome.
What was also great for Anglomoil was that the Tilley’s attracted so much TV attention.
Both cars rely on Anglomoil Lubricants. In effect, they are “test labs on wheels” proving the effectiveness and stability of the Australian made formulations in the toughest conditions.
